Delete Account

This is an English translation of the German account deletion page (Account löschen). In case of discrepancies, the German version prevails.

Your right to deletion

You can permanently delete your Mentavo account at any time. We respect your right to data protection and ensure that your personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection law.

Delete your account directly in the app

The easiest way is to delete your account directly through the Mentavo app.

Here's how:

Open the Mentavo app.
Sign in to your account.
Open your profile.
Select “Delete account”.
Confirm the security prompt.

Once confirmed, your account is permanently deleted.

No longer have access to the app?

If you no longer have access to your account or the app, you can also request deletion by email.

Where possible, please use the email address your Mentavo account was registered with, so that we can clearly verify your identity.

What data is deleted?

When you delete your account, we remove all personal data stored for the use of Mentavo. This includes, among other things:

profile data
name (if provided)
email address
profile picture
journal entries
check-ins and mood history
goals
routines
coach and AI chat histories
personal settings
notification settings
date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth (if provided)
astrology information
all other personal content linked to your account

Once deletion is complete, your account cannot be restored.

What data may be temporarily retained?

In certain cases, we are legally required to retain individual information for a limited period. This applies, for example, to:

proof of purchases or subscriptions, where statutory retention obligations apply
security and server logs, where necessary to ensure system security or to fulfil legal obligations

This data is stored exclusively for the respective legal purpose and is deleted once the statutory retention period expires.

How long does deletion take?

Deletion of your Mentavo account is generally initiated immediately after your confirmation.

All personal data is then removed as quickly as possible. In exceptional cases, complete removal from backup systems may, for technical reasons, take up to 30 days.

Existing subscriptions

Deleting your Mentavo account does not automatically end an existing App Store or Google Play subscription.

If you have an active subscription, you must also cancel it separately in your Apple or Google account.
